As a Baltimore Medical System Board Member, Ian J. Gray was on a personal mission. His goal was to ensure that basic health care was available and accessible to the medically underserved.
On September 11, 2001, Ian's life was cut short when he was a passenger on American Airlines Flight 77 that was crashed into the Pentagon. In recognition of his long service to BMS, the Ian J. Gray Fund was established. Proceeds from the fund strengthen Baltimore Medical System through capital investments.
On September 6, 2002, BMS purchased our administrative office building on Sinclair Lane in Southeast Baltimore and renamed the building in Ian's honor.
In addition, Baltimore Medical System hosts an annual golf tournament, the Ian J. Gray Golf Classic, the proceeds of which assist BMS with capital needs.
