Sliding Fee Scale

Health Benefits Advisors

Specially trained staff are available at every BMS health center to assist patients in determining eligibility for a variety of health benefits.

 

Specialty Care Referral Coordination

BMS staff help patients with appointments for specialty care and diagnostic testing.

 

Deaf Services

We offer American Sign Language interpretation, care coordination and patient advocacy for the Deaf and hearing impaired.  This program attracts patients throughout Maryland. More Information...

 

Women's Health Services

In addition to a broad range of services for all women, BMS provides case management for high-risk pregnancies.  We also provide special assistance in accessing breast health services such as mammograms.

 

International Services

BMS employs bilingual physicians and other staff, many of whom also have multi-cultural backgrounds that help them understand the needs of patients from other countries. Our written materials are in English and Spanish.  For Baltimore's growing refugee population, BMS also provides foreign language interpretation for initial health screenings and ongoing medical care. Outreach and Access Services

The BMS Outreach team offers the following grant-funded outreach programs:

• Smoking cessation classes and support
• Breast Health / Mammography service coordination
• Mental health services for immigrant families
• Health for Life - special support and teaching for patients with certain chronic conditions

 

School-Based Health

BMS operates eight school-based health centers that provide well-child care, sports physicals, immunizations, family planning, health education and treatment for acute illnesses.  For many students, we are their primary source of health care. More Information...

 

Pharmacy Assistance Program

Our on-site pharmacies are able to dispense many medications at lower than wholesale prices. We also assist patients in applying for free or discounted medications from pharmaceutical manufacturers. More information...
